Questions To Ask Your Landlord Before You Lease

Before you sign your apartment lease, it will help if you prepare a set of questions for the apartment manager or your future landlord. You should be prepared and what what issues can arise that may created some distrust and confusion.
And actually completing this set of questions is the last step you will need to take before you put in your application. So be armed with this last set of questions so you can be sure this apartment is right for you.
We have listed some questions below that all renters might want to ask:
*Anything regarding rent: How much is rent per month, do you have a grace period, and what the late fees are?
*How long is the lease: Most landlords will want tenants to lease on a yearly term. So be sure and find out what happens after the lease expires. Will it revert to a month to month lease?
*How much are the deposits and fees? As with any lease, as a renter you will have to put money down. This usually comes in the forms of a security deposit plus any application fees. Be sure and know the amounts the you will need in order to move in.
*What is included with the rent? Some apartments will come with some utilities paid. These might include electricity or water.
*Will the rent increase after the initial lease term? If you moved into your new apartment on a special, chances are you might see a rental increase.
